Greg DeLong, Adjunct Professor, Ozarks Technical Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in portfolio and investment management.
Since his retirement on March 31, 2023, Mr. DeLong was hired as an adjunct professor with Ozarks Technical Community College. Prior to this role, he was a senior vice president, senior portfolio manager and financial adviser with Morgan Stanley from 2014 to 2023. With expertise in building and managing portfolios for retail clients to help them meet their investment goals, Mr. DeLong worked for Edward Jones as a financial adviser from 1986 to 2014. Between 1978 and 1984, he was the administrative assistant to the president of DeLong’s Inc., after which he served the company as president from 1984 to 1985.
To prepare for his career as a financial professional and educator, Mr. DeLong graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Economics and Business Administration in 1978. Following this accomplishment, he matriculated at the University of Missouri and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1984. For his professional excellence, Mr. DeLong was named to Forbes’ Best in State Wealth Advisor Award Program in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Springfield Business Journal Top Wealth Advisors Award, and in 1986, he was named to Outstanding Young Men of America. In his spare time, Mr. DeLong enjoys walking, riding his bicycle, traveling, reading, playing bridge and spending time with his granddaughter.
