Named as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in 1997, Mr. Beckwermert has also distinguished himself in the field of real estate as the president and chief executive officer of Beckstate Holdings Inc.
Outside of his current endeavors, Mr. Beckwermert has participated as a founding shareholder in both high tech and private equity firms. He also built a prolific career at Ravenwood Energy Corp., a solar energy equipment provider, from 2003 to 2014, during which time he served as president and chief executive officer. During the early stages of his professional journey, Mr. Beckwermert availed himself to the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, as the director of environmental policy and legislation for the local government between 1991 and 1993.
Mr. Beckwermert initially studied at Lakehead University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in 1980, with honors. Following this accomplishment, he graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1983. Well-regarded for his practical achievements as a leader, he has also received an ICD.D designation via the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Beckwermert contributed as a board member of Light Up the World, a nonprofit organization that sought to bring LED lights to impoverished communities in Africa. He has also been involved with Magic of Christmas, a local charity that delivers donated presents to the homes of disadvantaged families.
