Aubrey Novak, pharmacy accountant at Sykes & Company, P.A., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in payroll accounting.
With nearly 20 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Novak has excelled as pharmacy accountant at Sykes & Company, P.A since 2023. She began her career as a front desk clerk at the Four Seasons Resort from 2005 to 2007. Concurrent to this position, she worked as lead cook at Pembine Family Restaurant from 2000 to 2010. She found success as an administrative assistant at Pembine School District from 2008 to 2012.
Ms. Novak established herself in the accounting industry as a staff accountant at Anderson, Tackman & Company, PLC from 2012 to 2018. She garnered expertise as a financial accountant at Great North Bank from 2018 to 2022 before being recruited as senior accountant at Sykes & Company, P.A. from 2022 to 2023. During this time, she served as finance manager for Christ the King Lutheran Church since 2019.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Novak pursued an education at the Marinette Campus of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she completed coursework in English language and literature from 2004 to 2005. She continued her academic efforts at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, graduating with an associate of applies sciences in accounting in 2013. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin. She holds certifications in accounts payable and accounts receivable from Bill.com, QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program from Intuit, and is AvidAscend certified from AvidXchange.
Beyond her responsibilities within the field, Ms. Novak has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her professional circles. She contributed to the Lincoln’s Foster Closet, was a community organizer for the Secret Santa Operation from 2008 to 2012, and held the role of council board member for Christ the King Church. In addition to her primary vocation, she remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Payroll Association since 2022.
Ms. Novak attributes her success to her family, particularly her husband who supported her and tended to their children while she pursued her college education. In the immediate future, she intends to complete her bachelor’s degree and earn her certification as a public accountant. She also aspires to become a shareholder at Sykes & Company, P.A.
