Kirsten E. Johansen, Head Coach at GTO – Coaching for Humans, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in health and wellness coaching.
With many years of experience in addiction recovery, sexual health and self-acceptance coaching to her credit, Ms. Johansen has excelled as the head coach for GTO – Coaching for Humans, a service that focuses on integrating every part of one’s self, since 2022. In addition to this position, she has been active as the host of the radio show “GTO – Freedom for Humans,” in which she proudly devoted her voice and heart to potentially helping others. She previously served as the executive vice president for Planned Parenthood Great Northwest in Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky between 2005 and 2021. Outside of these responsibilities, Ms. Johansen has also worked as an independent consultant as well as the owner of a tattoo shop.
Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Johansen pursued an education at Pacific Lutheran University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology with a concentration in family and gender and a minor in psychology in 1992. She subsequently concluded her studies at Western Governors University in 2017, graduating with a Master of Business Administration. Certified as a chemical dependency specialist by the age of 21, she refined her skills in the field of healthcare administration for more than 15 years before shifting her attention towards GTO – Coaching for Humans. Attributing her success to her driven nature and her ability to walk through her fear, Ms. Johansen hopes to continue writing, telling her story and utilizing her experience to help others through her upcoming memoir and a how-to book focusing on self-love.
