With nearly 30 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Puryear has excelled as field supervisor at B. S. & L. Corporation, now doing business as Mr. FIX-IT, from 1993 to 2021, when he retired. His responsibilities were to manage company processes and client intake, as well as making sure that every contracted job went smoothly for the company and the client and oftentimes performing installation of Gutter Helmets. He was active as a diesel mechanic at various companies for 16 years. He began his career working for his father’s company at the age of 12.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Puryear pursued an education and completed general coursework at the Christanna Campus of Southside Virginia Community College. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles, including regular donations to Toys for Tots.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Puryear has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Years of Service Award and the Employee of the Year Award by B. S. & L. Corporation. His most notable achievement is the reputation and credibility he established during the tenure of his career, and that after he had already retired, people from his former company still call him and seek out his insights and recommendations. His hobbies include fishing and hunting, and his goal in the immediate future is to become active as a consultant.
