With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Anderson has excelled with the Defense Health Agency as a clinical business consultant since 2018 and Anderson Healthcare Consulting, LLC as a clinical business consultant and president since 2016. In these positions, he has established neurosurgery and behavioral health virtual clinics that have helped myriad people in need. He was formerly active as a clinical business consultant with CareFirst and Blue Cross Blue Shield from 2012 to 2017, and a clinical business analyst for Northern Regional Medical Command from 2003 to 2012. He previously worked for IBM as a marketing representative, a senior systems consultant, and a healthcare financial consultant between 1978 and 1995. Mr. Anderson found much success selling cutlery early in his career before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, serving between 1970 and 1973.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Anderson pursued an education at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in information systems management in 1977. In addition to this accomplishment, he obtained his certifications as a data processor in 1980 and a computer programmer in 1981. Attributing his success to the encouragement and influence of his father, he was recognized as the Consultant of the Year in 2009. Beyond his primary responsibilities, he is incredibly proud of his athletic achievements, having won the Gold Gym Challenge for his age group annually between 2011 and 2016 and has thrived as a weightlifter and swimmer for over a decade. In the coming years, Mr. Anderson hopes to establish a new Surgery Center of Excellence and other major surgical projects while continuing to develop clinical practice models and eventually enter a well-deserved retirement.
