Prior to this role, he dedicated over 25 years of his career to GE Aircraft Engines, through which he rose to become the vice president. Well-regarded for his accomplishments, Mr. Johnson is proud to have collaborated with various industry luminaries, including Lawrence Bossidy, a past CEO of AlliedSignal, and to have served in various chairman roles across the span of his career.
Mr. Johnson initially earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and accounting at Miami University in 1969, after which he accrued practical experience at GE Aircraft, manufacturing engines, fuselages, cockpits, landing systems, and auxiliary power unit equipment. In accounting for his subsequent achievements, he largely credits the strong values instilled in him by his parents, as well as his upbringing in a small town. Likewise, he has benefited richly from an intrinsic sense of dedication to his profession, as well as a powerful intellect. During the peak of his career, it was customary for Mr. Johnson to dedicate up to 80 hours a week to work, a testament to his strong work ethic that facilitated results. Now at 75, he looks forward to continuing his professional journey for the foreseeable future, and to enjoy quality time spent with his wife.
