Title: Risk Control Consultant
Company: The Travelers Indemnity Company
Location: Ossining, New York, United States

Lawrence Steven Cosentino, a risk control consultant at the Travelers Indemnity Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of quality assurance and risk control.

Ms. Cosentino has garnered a laudable reputation through his work at Travelers, where he has found success as a risk control consultant since 2022. Leveraging over six years of expertise in his chosen field, he bears responsibility for evaluating client properties and equipment for liabilities and insurance risks, informing insurance companies and jurisdictions of his findings, and engaging in fieldwork. Previously, Ms. Cosentino served as a loss control specialist at the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, which bestowed him with an award for exemplary integrity in 2019. Before this role, he built a prolific career as a maintenance supervisor for Gourmet Boutique, and a member of the emergency response team at Global Foundries, which he joined as a senior tech in 2014.

Prior to his work as a civilian, Mr. Cosentino served as a nuclear electrician on behalf of the United States Navy from 2006 to 2014, during which time he worked on the oldest first-class steel-commissioned fast-attack submarine, the U.S.S. Los Angeles. In 2012, he was transferred from the U.S.S. Jacksonville to the U.S.S. Missouri, which was the last of the first flight Virginia-class fast-attack submarines. Mr. Cosentino worked frequently with complex steam-powered systems over the span of his military service, providing the impetus for his eventual career in quality assurance and inspections.

Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Cosentino was commissioned as a deacon by the Village Lutheran Church in Bronxville, New York, in 2022. He was also a coordinator for the children’s ministry at Authentic Church in Yonkers, New York, in 2016, and a member of Malta Clean Up in 2015.

Mr. Cosentino studied computer information systems at Manhattan College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 2005. Eminently qualified in his field, he holds numerous technical certifications, and has been recognized as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt by Villanova University.

In accounting for his success, Mr. Cosentino has come to understand that it is never just one individual who can claim credit for any of their accomplishments – it is the result of the path they have taken, the teachers they have learned under, and the diverse colleagues they have surrounded themselves with. Likewise, the ability to consciously consider the reasons behind his choices is something he learned early on in his professional life, thanks to his time in the U.S. Navy. It was through this experience that he was able to break free from the habit of “autopiloting,” a crucial skill that has since served him well.
