Mr. Quarnstrom believed that starting at the bottom was the only way to begin his career. He accepted his first job in Clarksdale, Mississippi, despite being from Northern Minnesota, which caused him to experience culture shock. Despite this, he excelled and discovered a talent for sales. Many radio stations in his awareness struggled to pay their staff and remain profitable. Despite these challenges, he managed to turn these businesses around and make them successful.
Mr. Quarnstrom’s most notable achievement was starting out with zero and building a business. Also, developing people and watching them grow and be successful was satisfying to him. He has hired hundreds of people over the years that have moved on to bright futures. He has been a licensee of 32 different radio stations. In the next five years, he wants to continue doing what he has been doing and keep going on.
