With 25 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Gutmacher has excelled at IBM as partner in talent transformation outsourcing services leader since 2021 and partner in talent and transformation since 2019. He began his career at Aon Hewitt as vice president of client delivery leader-emerging solutions from 2012 to 2014 and vice president of outsourcing delivery from 2014 to 2016. He served as vice president of human resources operations at Prudential Financial from 2016 to 2019.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Gutmacher pursued an education at Indiana University Bloomington where he earned a Bachelor of Science in health care administration and management in 1998. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He sat on the advisory board at the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business since 2021 and makes frequent donations and contributions to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Mr. Gutmacher attributes his success to his work ethic, his style, and his approach. He tries to do things the right way, works with integrity, and treats people with respect. He surrounds himself with great people who have similar interests and principles and as a result, they have been able to be successful. It is his strong belief that there is no other field with the potential to positively impact more people than human resources. Prior to joining IBM, he had the privilege of managing human resources operations for Prudential where he was responsible for the welfare of 20,000 employees.

Mr. Gutmacher hopes to be retired within ten years. In the next five years, he wants to continue his success at IBM. He would like to continue to satisfy the clients and grow the practice, grow the IBM brands, and grow the number of people that he is privileged to work with every day. He has several goals and ambitions for the remainder of his career with IBM and beyond. He hopes that he will continue looking for and finding things that challenge him, keep him interested, and keep him energized.
