In this role, Mr. Lynch bears a wealth of expertise in advising retail companies that are undergoing complex real estate restructuring, and has offered his professional acumen to such companies as Brookstone, Le Cordon Blue, Forever 21, Pier 1, Vitamin Shoppe, and Providence St. Joseph Health, among many others.
Prior to his current endeavors at B. Riley, Mr. Lynch held several roles of high leadership at A&G Real Estate Partners, for which he served as the principal and manager of the Los Angeles office, and DJM Realty LLC, beginning in 2006. He had previously earned distinction at the executive level for various prominent retailers, including Babystyle, Warner Bros. Studio Stores Worldwide, Guess Inc., Stor Furnishings International, Emporium Capwell, and Joske’s Department Store, where he became the vice president of inventory control in 1978.
Known for his contributions as both a diligent executive and civic-minded citizen, Mr. Lynch presently sits on the board at the Adventist Health Glendale Hospital Foundation, and previously served in similar positions of leadership with the Providence National Foundation Board and Providence Health & Services, which bestowed him with the Mother Gamelin Award for Leadership in 2013. Likewise, he is a past chairman of the Young Presidents Organization Retail Network, a global leadership community of chief executives with over 3,300 members worldwide.
In a career suffused with highlights, Mr. Lynch is proud to have always distinguished himself as an effective leader – one who strives tirelessly to develop his team and bring out the best in each member. In accounting for his success, he largely credits the influence of Richard Clayton, who saw his potential and believed that he could develop and grow within the retail industry. He also draws deeply from the example of Edward Romano, the former vice chairman of Warner Bros. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lynch aspires to continue dedicating himself to his mission of lifelong education, and to further avail himself to both the Young Presidents Organization and the Adventist Health Glendale Hospital, through which he hopes to make a positive difference in the community.
