Self-driven and motivated to pursue excellence in everything he sets his mind to, Mr. Post has found success at Ames Construction, a full-service civil and industrial general contractor that specializes in energy, mining, transportation, and commercial projects. As the vice president of mining, Mr. Post is responsible for overseeing the completion of important civil infrastructure projects. Leveraging over 15 years of experience in his chosen field, during which time he has accrued a wealth of expertise in project control, estimates, contract management, and value engineering, Mr. Post initially joined Ames Construction as a project manager in 2013. Previously, he worked in a similar capacity at Kiewit, which he joined as a project engineer in 2008. Mr. Post first became involved in the field of construction in 2005 as a project engineer at Rummel Construction Inc.
Mr. Post initially studied construction management at Northern Arizona University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in 2005. To remain aware of developments in his field, he maintains his affiliation with such organizations as the Arizona Mining Association, the AMIGOS Association and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Outside of his professional endeavors, he is frequently involved in outreach opportunities, and often avails himself on behalf of Ames Construction as a sponsor of community events.
Among his most cherished accomplishments, Mr. Post is particularly proud to have been involved in the construction of the first asphalt core dam in the United States. In accounting for his success, he largely credits his intrinsic drive and diligence, as well as his self-made nature. Likewise, he is grateful for the efforts of his team, whose intelligence and professionalism has become the foundation of his efforts to expand the scope of operations at Ames Construction.
Outside of his primary endeavors, Mr. Post is an avid woodworker, and is a loving husband and father of three daughters. Looking toward the future, he aspires to continue contributing to the growth of Ames Construction as it bolsters its reputation as a leader in the civil construction industry.
