With 23 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Cordera Montes de Oca has excelled as IOS global director and IMS and audit manager of North America at Yanfeng Automotive since 2023. He began his career as a door panels production manager at Sommer Allibert de Mexico from 1997 to 2000. He contributed to Faurecia Interior Systems working in quality system efficiency and FES auditing from 2000 to 2005 and in NAO production and system quality from 2005 to 2016. He garnered a stellar reputation at Automotive Plastic Omnium from 2016 to 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Cordera Montes de Oca pursued an education at Tecnologico de Monterrey where he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering in 1986 and a Master of Business Administration in international business in 1995. He holds a certification as an ISO/TS 16949 supplier auditor, a VDA 6.3 Process Auditor, and as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He volunteered with multiple workshops specializing in environmental damage.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Cordera Montes de Oca remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a senior member of the American Society of Quality since 2008. He attributes his success to being very disciplined and following the rules. He also studies each regional and international culture to quickly adapt and form better relationships with people in each location. In the immediate future, he wants to move to a higher level in the company to take more responsibilities and more control.
