With 45 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Peterson has excelled as drilling product specialist for the Mountainland Pump and Drilling Supply Division of Mountainland Supply Company since 2020. He initiated his involvement with the same as an opportunity evaluator in 2020. He began his career as a senior account representative at Baroid Industrial Drilling Fluids from 1977 to 2020. Before embarking on his professional path, he pursued an education at Southern Utah University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1977.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Peterson remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He sat on the board of directors for the American Groundwater Trust and the Utah Groundwater Association and was a board member of the International Water Holdings Corporation. He garnered a stellar reputation as a columnist for Worldwide Water Resource and the National Groundwater Water Well Journal and was a contributing author on the “Groundwater and Wells” manual from Johnson Screen.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Peterson has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as a 2015 William H McElhinney Distinguished Lecturer by the National Groundwater Association and as a Halliburton MVP from the Halliburton Energy Services Group in 2007. In 2013, he was presented with the Ross L. Oliver Award from the National Groundwater Association. In the immediate future, he intends to work for a few more years to help Mountainland Supply Company get their drilling business going as well as help train their new manager. Afterward, he will step aside and spend more time at home with his wife working in their yard and garden.
