Bob Leonard, broker at RE/MAX Associates, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in residential and commercial real estate.

With 37 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Leonard has excelled as a licensed Texas broker at RE/MAX Associates since 1989. He began his career as a buyer at The May Department Stores Company from 1973 to 1983. He worked as a divisional sales manager at Joske’s Department Stores from 1983 to 1986. He established himself as president and statewide broker of Allison James of Texas, LLC and Texas state broker at Allison James Estates and Homes from 2008 to 2011. He continued his career as vice chairman and broker at the Texas Real Estate Commission from 2016 to 2022. 

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Leonard pursued an education at Bradley University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in advertising and sales promotion in 1969. He completed the Texas Realtors Leadership Program in 2006 and became a certified residential specialist in 1991. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He sat on executive boards and held leadership positions with the Texas Association of Realtors, the San Antonio Board of REALTORS®, and the Public Policy Taxation Committee. 

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Leonard remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a founding member of the South Texas Triumph Club and the South Texas Jaguar Club. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was listed on the Top 50 Realtors in San Antonio by Platinum Top 50, the RE/MAX Hall of Fame, and was inducted into the Omega Tau Rho Society in 2014. He was presented with Distinguished Service Awards by the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the San Antonio Board of Realtors.

Among his many successes in his field, the highlight of Mr. Leonard’s career was his appointment to the Texas Real Estate Commission by the governor of Texas. An additional milestone in his professional life was being elected by his peers in the San Antonio Board of Realtors as chairman of the board. He plans on retiring sometime in the next ten years.
