He began his career as a project architect at John Portman and Associates from 1982 to 1986.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Leftwich pursued an education at the University of KwaZulu-Natal where he earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 1979. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, donated to his local church, and served as a designer at Reebok Step. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, the American Institute of Architects, and the Circle of Trust.
Mr. Leftwich attributes his success to having an adventurous spirit as evident by his journey across the world and having a career in North America. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was featured in Fortune Small Business Magazine and presented with the Joint Cost Saving Award.
