 Mr. Clottey made a name for himself for his work on Voice of America (VOA), where he has served since 2004. Spearheading One-on-One with Peter Clottey, he delves into economic and political news reporting. His journalistic prowess extends to conducting high-profile interviews with governmental figures like presidents, vice presidents, ministers, and rebel leaders. On the weekends, Mr. Clottey serves as the esteemed host of Nightline Africa, a compelling magazine radio show. He continues to volunteer as a news anchor for WPFW 89.3 FM, delivering a weekly roundup of African news to the local African community in Washington, D.C. Beyond politics, he occasionally shares his opinions in the realm of sports, showcasing his versatile hosting skills on The Sports Box. 

Reflecting on his career highlights, Mr. Clottey treasures moments such as interviewing world leaders and a surviving prosecutor of Nazi war criminals. He finds reward in informing those without access to information and holding leaders accountable. Encouraging aspiring journalists, Mr. Clottey advises focusing on passion and dedication to the craft, ensuring work is fulfilling rather than just a job. In addition, he aims to establish a program focusing on African leaders’ accountability to their constituents. Mr. Clottey’s vision includes conducting exclusive interviews to hold leaders to their promises. In the coming years, his goal is to amplify his impact by providing critical information to the public and maintaining leaders’ responsibility for their policies.
