He also served as an elected official for the St. Paul City Council for a decade before deciding not to run for re-election. Additionally, he participates as a member of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity.
Attributing his success to hard work and passion, Mr. Blakely utilized these skills to earn a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Macalester College in 1981. He cites “Just keep working and have fun” as his motto. When he isn’t working, he dedicates his time and attention to spending time with his family, classic cars, and playing basketball.
