Richard W. Flentge, renewable energy consultant and author, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in renewable energy consulting.

With 35 years of business experience to his credit, Mr. Flentge has excelled as renewable energy consultant. His renewable energy career started at Electrical Vehicle Television (EVTV). At EVTV, LLC, he found success as general manager and co-host from 2011 to 2022.

EVTV was a worldwide webcast producing over 500 instructional videos detailing how to convert gasoline cars to electric drive, technical reviews of renewable energy products. As Co-Host, Mr. Flentge reported on industry news related to the production/ sales of electric cars primarily focused on Tesla. He also managed the Electric Vehicle Conversion Convention in which electric car builders tested and shared knowledge on the conversion of traditional internal combustion cars to electric drive. EVTV operated a microgrid, in which Mr. Flentge tested various configurations of solar components. He wrote a patent application for the electrical connecting devices for the repurposing of a salvaged electric vehicle battery. His design concepts include: a solar battery pack train, a composite and modular solar panel which includes an inverter and battery, the use of a portable battery and bidirectional charging, and the integration of smart technology to allow complete neighborhoods to connect to a microgrid isolating them from the traditional power grid system.

Mr. Flentge is the author of a comprehensive Renewable Energy book, “Verities of an Electric Mule.” His book details the necessary steps to transition to renewable energy, electric vehicle technology and advanced product design concepts. “Verities of an Electric Mule,” was published in 2023 and is available on Amazon and his website. Speaking on the topic of renewable energy, technology and Climate Change, he has appeared on multiple podcasts and radio shows in the United States, Canada in Europe. As a Climate Change journalist, he has written about particulate matter in the atmosphere affecting polar bears, the decline of bee populations, and the facts surrounding unregulated exhaust emissions.

Mr. Flentge began his career as a sales representative of Beecham Products from 1986 to 1988 marketing such national brands as Aqua Fresh toothpaste, Aqua Velva aftershave and Calgon bath to regional warehouse distributors and retail outlets. He worked as a technical sales representative for U.S. Surgical from 1988 to 1992, where he provided technical assistance in the operating room theater instructing general and laparoscopic surgeons on various medical devices. He was recognized as a top salesperson of Beecham Products and was ranked in the top 5 in sales at U.S. Surgical.

Mr. Flentge established himself as founder and chief executive officer of Checker Products from 1992 to 2008, a trendy company which developed and marketed composite truck bed covers and various automotive aftermarket products. He holds two patents for composite truck bed covers. His ground-breaking cover design was featured in a SEMA Show at Las Vegas on the Ford Motors’ Flareside Pick-up truck.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Flentge pursued an education at Southeast Missouri State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing in 1986. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He was a founding board member of the non-profit Stop Needless Acts of Violence Please. He also contributed to online ministry support of various African charities. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including Rotary International, the Fraternal Order of Elks, and the PI Kappa Alpha Fraternity.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Flentge has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He found success as author of “Mule Track: How Missouri became the Official State of the Mule,” “ZAT Zombie Apocalypse Training: How to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse and Not Freak Out,” and “WAMBE, A Single Page of Good Advice”

Mr. Flentge worked as Co-Host of EVTV until a medical issue prompted him to retire, at which time he began to write, blog, and be an advocate for renewable energy.
