Greg Burke, FAIA, President at Gregory John Burke | Architect, PA, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in architecture.

Mr. Burke has had an extensive career in architecture for more than four decades, beginning as an intern for NBBJ between 1980 and 1981. He has worked for such prestigious firms as Gensler between 1985 and 1988, Hillier Group between 1989 and 1995, Donadio and Associates between 1995 and 1998, and URS Corporation, An AECOM Company between 2010 and 2011. In 1998, he created his firm Gregory John Burke | Architect, PA, and continues to thrive in this position while concurrently serving as the vice chairman and board member of the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design since 2022. Additionally, he acted as the director of the American Institute of Architects between 2008 and 2020 and vice president between 2015 and 2016.

Attributing his success to his upbringing, flexibility, collaboration, and perseverance, Mr. Burke utilized these assets to earn a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Ohio State University in 1981. He is also certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and licensed to practice in seven states. He cites that his most significant accomplishment is his extensive experience leading large firms and his ability to establish and maintain a thriving practice.

Mr. Burke has been recognized for several outstanding achievements by the American Institute of Architects, including the Presidential Citation “Citizen Architect Program” in 2014, the Presidential Citation “Advocacy & Legislative Affairs” in 2015, the Tony Pullara Honor Award in 2017, and admittance to the College of Fellows in 2018. He engages as a member of the Indian River Chamber of Commerce, St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce, and the Committee for Affordable Housing in St. Johns County. He also belongs to the American Institute of Architects and the Northeast Florida Builder’s Association.

In addition to his architectural practice, Mr. Burke has been engaged as an expert witness, having participated in multiple court cases, all of which have been resolved in his favor. In the future, he plans to continue his pursuit of professional excellence with a focus on knowledge sharing. He is committed to enhancing his skills and expertise with the hope of imparting his knowledge to others. When he isn’t working, he dedicates his time and attention to playing golf and traveling with his wife.
