Ronald J. Dolecki, Retired Intelligence Analyst at Ron Dolecki, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in intelligence analysis.

Mr. Dolecki has had a distinguished career, beginning with his enlistment in the United States Army, serving as a map maker and photographic interpreter with the Corps of Engineers in Africa. He was recognized with a Prisoner of War Medal commemorating his captivity by guerilla insurgents in 1965. During that remarkable ordeal, he escaped captivity after being given up for dead. He also served over thirty years with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from 1971 to 2004. He followed this service with Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc., from 2004 to 2006, and Courage Services, Inc., from 2006 to 2008. He did additional work as an intelligence analyst with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), which is an arm of the CIA.

While initially serving in the United States Army at Fort Belvoir in Virginia, Mr. Dolecki received training as a topographic engineer and felt passionate about furthering his education and knowledge. In 1970, he earned a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania Western University. In his time as an analyst for the CIA and NGA, he authored more than fifty intelligence reports and a training manual. The NGA awarded him a Distinguished Civilian Service Medal, which is the highest award it can bestow; it was pinned on him by James Clapper, the head of NGA at the time. In 2023, he published a book about his memoirs entitled “From High School to Africa Via the U.S. Army.” Mr. Dolecki has been recognized with numerous service medals and awards, including being featured on the front page of the Baltimore Sun newspaper twice. He is also the featured subject of three YouTube videos.
