Robert E. Green

Title: Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Company: American Solar Rail
Location: Macon, Georgia, United States

Robert E. Green, founder and chief executive officer at American Solar Rail, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in contracting.

With over 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Green has excelled as founder and chief executive officer at American Solar Rail since 2020. He considers himself a generalist whose unique skill set includes a deep understanding of the underlying physics behind physical phenomena and the ability to translate this knowledge into financial spreadsheets that yield predictions with a high degree of accuracy. He began his career as founder and president of Robert Green Construction from 1981 to 1994. At Witten Technologies, he established himself as co-founder and president from 1994 to 2007.

Mr. Green continued his career as founder and president of several additional businesses, including Greenavations Power from 2009 to 2016, Georgia Solar Utilities since 2011, and Florida Solar Utilities since 2012. He worked with emergency medical services for three years. Before embarking on his professional path, he pursued an education at Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in theology in 1975. He is a Florida state certified general contractor and a Florida state certified underground utility contractor through the Construction Industry Licensing Board of Florida.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Green has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He received financial rewards for his instrumental role in helping AT&T secure projects by single-handedly resolving complex issues pertaining to the company’s pursuit of establishing fiber-optic networks. When the White House encountered challenges during the installation of a new sprinkler system in their premises, particularly in the realm of underground construction, they turned to him for his expert guidance, recognizing that he was the sole individual capable of effectively addressing and resolving the complex issues at hand. He was recognized as an exemplary scholar-athlete during his high school years and was student council president of his high school.

In 2004, Mr. Green was presented with the Innovation of the Year International Award from the Wall Street Journal, the Governor’s New Product Award from the Florida Engineering Society, and the NOVA Award from the University of Michigan’s Construction Innovation Forum. He is enthusiastic about spearheading the development of a specialized rail car that will enable a continuous railway system. This concept, rooted in historical experiments dating back to 1857 within the rail industry, remained elusive until he independently devised a solution. In the immediate future, he envisions bringing this technology to fruition.
