In 2001, she established herself at Storey Kenworthy as an accounts receivable lead until 2013. She subsequently transferred to Jeunesse Global in 2015 as an accounts payable supervisor until 2019 and advanced to accounts payable manager, where she thrived until 2023. Ascending again, she presently serves as the treasury manager.
Attributing her success to her determination and resilience in pursuing success despite facing challenges with her educational background, Ms. Goodman’s drive forward is a testament to her strength and character. She credits her greatest achievement as her continued growth, desire to learn, and ability to recognize different aspects of the industry. Ms. Goodman’s advice for the next generation of professionals is to be willing to learn every day and have that passion to work through problems. In finance, there are always discrepancies, and you have to be willing to get to the bottom of those discrepancies, noting that not having a degree shouldn’t discourage you from moving forward. She is appreciative of her mentor, Mike Carey, who pushed and encouraged her to be herself.
Ms. Goodman’s idea of success is the willingness to learn, keep moving forward, be diligent, and have passion for your work. She ascribes to the mantra, “Life’s hardest lessons have the greatest rewards.” When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to feeding the squirrels and spending time with her daughters.
