Mr. Isaacson is a distinguished professional who cares deeply about the environment and the status of indigenous peoples. He began his career in the United States Air Force, where he served six years as a staff sergeant and Russian linguist and was named an Honorary Commander of the 354th Fighter Wing Operations Group. In 1997, he worked for City Mortgage as a branch manager until 2001. He transferred to Gold Coast Mortgage Corporation in 2001 and contributed his expertise as the president until 2008. His love for politics shined as he was elected mayor of the city of North Pole between 2006 and 2012 and as a legislator for House District 1 in the Alaska State Legislature between 2013 and 2015. In 2015, he became the principal consultant for Doug Isaacson and Associates until 2022 and simultaneously rendered service as the chief executive officer at Minto Development Corporation, where he continues to thrive.

Attributing his success to curiosity and a way of thinking that looks for patterns and systems and the organizing principles to find solutions, Mr. Isaccson utilized these assets to earn a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Washington in 1984. In 1989, he obtained a Master of Divinity in pastoral studies from Western Seminary. After many years of successful occupations, he earned a certificate in energy policy from the University of Idaho in 2014. He adheres to these quotes as guiding his success: “There’s no limit to what you can accomplish if you don’t care who gets the credit.” and “Let the Lord direct your path.”

Mr. Isaacson commits to several organizations, such as acting as minister of the transportation committee, contributing to the military affairs committee, and as past chair for the economic development committee for the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce. He also participates as a member of the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce, The Alaska Miners Association, the Associated General Contractors of America, the North Pole Lions Club, and the American Legion Post 31. He was recognized with the Jim Messer Award for Fairbanks, Alaska in 2013.

Looking to the future, Mr. Isaacson envisions a sustainable enterprise managed by indigenous individuals that will continue to grow and thrive. His goal is to create a business that is both secure and self-sufficient, which provides long-term benefits to all involved parties. When he is not working, he dedicates his time and attention to writing inspirational messages, spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, recreational vehicle camping, and biking.
