With 13 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Campbell has excelled as chief executive officer and co-founder of alt_ Chicago since 2019. In his role as a creative visionary, his responsibilities include maintaining the organization, stabilizing different forms of capital, and leveraging the relationships developed with public and private partnerships. He began his career as a photo specialist at Walgreens from 2010 to 2017.
Mr. Campbell continued his career as an event photographer at Rebuild Foundation in 2017. He found success as an artist in residence at the Sweet Water Foundation from 2017 to 2018 before transitioning to the role of art teacher at Chicago Public Schools. He contributed to the University of Chicago as a teaching artist in 2018. He was active as a job developer at Public Image Partnership NFP from 2019 to 2022.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Campbell pursued an education at Claflin University in 2011 before attending the Savannah College of Art & Design where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography in 2014. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He was featured in Millennium Magazine. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Campbell has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with three awards in 2023. His definition of success revolves around empowering individuals to realize that their purpose matters, irrespective of age, gender, race, or socioeconomic status. He has a clear vision for his organization: to attract people to Chicago and offer them unique experiences. The company is exploring purchasing a state-of-the-art facility where people can engage in art, transformative education, and programming. The space would also serve as an incubation and innovation center, fostering creativity and providing an environment that promotes faith.
