Peter D. Lusk, MS, PMPC, CPRP, CPM, FMP, chief operating officer at Reston Association, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in community development.
Mr. Lusk is a distinguished professional who began his career in athletic management in 2009 at Fairleigh Dickinson University as an athletic department associate until 2011. At Fordham University, he worked as the coordinator of athletic operations between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, he contributed his expertise as the director of athletic operations at George Washington University between 2013 and 2015 before joining Arlington County, first as the facility operations manager between 2015 and 2017, then the athletic and facilities services divisions chief between 2017 and 2021. After serving Arlington County, he became interested in governance, leveraging his executive skillset at WhitbeckBennet as the chief operating officer between 2021 and 2022, followed by Facility Engineering Associates, PC, between 2021 and 2022. He presently serves the Reston Association as the chief operating officer.
Mr. Lusk attributes his success to those who doubt him, as it motivates him to be more successful and accomplished. He utilized this asset to earn a Bachelor of Science in sport and fitness administration from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2009. In 2012, he obtained a Master of Science in sports administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has garnered numerous certifications, including Facility Management Professional by the International Facility Management Association in 2016, Regional Executive Development Program from George Washington University in 2020, Certified Public Manager by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments in 2020, Certified Park and Recreation Professional by the National Recreation and Park Association in 2023, and as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute in 2023. When he is not working, he dedicates his time and attention to golfing, spending time with family in the outdoors, and being an avid pet owner.
