Aaron R. Stock, PLS, a professional land survey and survey manager at Sambatek Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of land surveying.
With over 25 years of practice and expertise in the land surveying industry, Mr. Stock has found success through his role at Sambatek Inc., a professional services firm specializing in engineering, surveying, and environmental services. Bearing a particular focus on ATLA title land surveying, Mr. Stock is responsible for processing field data, reviewing title documentation, scheduling field crews, and all general administrative tasks pertaining to the survey department. Having joined Sambatek in 2022, he previously served as a professional land surveyor at various companies, including The Wooten Company, Boundary Zone, Taylor Wiseman & Taylor, Turning Point Surveying, and National Survey Specialists, beginning his career as a computer-aided drafter in 1997. Over the course of his professional journey, Mr. Stock has long dedicated himself to the true nature of surveying, which is seeking the truth, whether in measurement or in boundary location.
After earning an associate degree in architectural drafting and computer-aided drafting at Triangle Tech Community College, Mr. Stock was subsequently hired by Turning Point Surveying as a CAD specialist. Since then, he has become licensed as a professional land surveyor – an achievement that required numerous years of study. He is also a valued member of the North Carolina Society of Surveyors Inc.
Well-regarded for his achievements, Mr. Stock was recognized with a Patriotic Employer Award in 2023. In accounting for his success, he largely credits his ability to lead by example, as well as his propensity for never asking his employees to do more work than he does. Likewise, he takes full responsibility for his mistakes and enshrines the value of honesty and respect among those with whom he works. Moreover, Mr. Stock draws heavily from the example of his father, whose model of empowerment and dedication to knowledge proved greatly inspirational.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Stock aspires to remain active with Sambatek Inc. and engage in volunteer work with the Society of Surveyors. Furthermore, when he eventually commences his retirement, he plans to remain semi-active as a consultant or teacher.
