Drawing from nearly three decades of experience in his chosen profession, Mr. Daniele has distinguished himself in his role at Arcadis, a leading global design and consultancy organization that focuses on sustainable design and engineering services for natural and built assets. As the area manager for New York City, he oversees the efforts of 60 employees, maintains daily business operations, and works to empower and develop his staff. Having initially joined Arcadis as an intern in 1994, Mr. Daniele subsequently advanced through various roles of increasing responsibility.
Well-regarded for his exceptional contributions to the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Mr. Daniele’s most notable accomplishment has been the successful construction of two pump stations that deliver 240 million gallons of water to the city, thereby ensuring that New York is never at risk of running out of water due to emergency drought situations. In recognition of his outstanding work, he was notably bestowed with the prestigious Diamond Award by the American Council of Engineering Companies in 2018.
In addition to his engineering accomplishments, Mr. Daniele’s contributions to the growth of the New York City area are exceptional. He recently gave a talk at a global event held at the Woolworth Building in New York, where he addressed leaders from different countries, including the UK, Brazil, and China. During his 10-minute presentation, he spoke passionately and from the heart on the importance of empathy and empowerment. He motivated the audience to take risks, be bold, share ideas, and push themselves to new heights.
At an early age, Mr. Daniele found himself fascinated with the concept of building things, including Lego blocks. This early interest in construction and design, as well as a desire to do well on behalf of various communities, inspired him to pursue a career in the engineering field. Studying mechanical and environmental engineering at Manhattan College, he attained a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Engineering in the years to come.
In accounting for his success, Mr. Daniele credits his high degree of emotional intelligence, which has allowed him to navigate difficult situations with ease, while inspiring those around him to achieve their full potential. He is passionate about helping others grow, perform, and succeed, and he consistently takes the initiative to create opportunities for their personal and professional development. Looking toward the future, Mr. Daniele aspires to continue developing the talent of his staff, as well as the company at large.
