Arthur L. Brown, president and owner of LeScot Enterprises, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in consulting.
With 52 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Brown has excelled as president and owner of LeScot Enterprises, Inc. since 2002. He began his career as a semi-professional football player for three years before working at General Motors in final assembly and quality control. He garnered a stellar reputation as co-owner of AMTAR Incorporated from 1977 to 1982. As a consultant, he contributed to Massey Business College and Georgia State University in 1983, the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1983 to 2006, and as a consultant contractor for Fulton County Government since 2012.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Brown pursued an education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing in 1972. He concluded his studies at Clark Atlanta University, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 1978. He holds certifications as an economic developer from the International Economic Development Council and as a master consultant from Business Retention and Expansion International. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of Business Retention Expansion International, the International Economic Development Council, and the Georgia Economic Development Association.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Brown has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the Business Retention and Expansion Lifetime Membership Award, the Project-of-the-Year Award from the National Association of Management and Technical Assistance Center, the President’s Awards from the National Association of Management and Technical Assistance Centers, the Peace Corp Appreciation Award, and the Minority Business Advocate of the Year from the Atlanta Minority Business Development Center. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame for Football in his school in 2006 and received the Economic Development Administration Certificate of Appreciation from the United States Department of Commerce and the Outstanding Thesis Award from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute.
