Susan Raub-Fortner, Real Estate Broker at Engel and Völkers Western Frontier, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate.
Ms. Raub-Fortner is a distinguished professional who has excelled in a long-lasting career. She has been a real estate broker for 30 years and the owner of a brokerage for 20 years. She presently serves as the executive director for Holms Energy Development Corporation and a real estate broker for Engel and Völkers Western Frontier. She is passionate about her work and enjoys being outdoors in the woods, observing the land and trees, and considers it a privilege to be paid for doing what she loves.
Attributing her success to the ability to listen well and being detail-oriented, Ms. Raub-Fortner utilized these skills to earn a bachelor’s degree in general humanities from the University of Montana in 2000. Her advice to the next generation of real estate professionals is to be patient. Ensure you have the financial ability to support yourself for at least twelve months while you build your clientele and find a mentor who understands the business and can help you navigate the numerous aspects of selling real estate.
Ms. Raub-Fortner participates as a member of the Local Real Estate Association and the National Association of Realtors. She was the founder of the Missoula Community Chorus. She is a past president and a current board member of the Mission Valley Choral Society.
Ms. Raub-Fortner credits her commitment to making a positive impact on her clients’ lives as what drives her. She believes that showing up and making a difference for clients is the most important aspect of her work. In the coming years, she wants to be more particular with the people with whom she is working and do fewer transactions with a higher volume, though given her passion for her work and her desire to remain engaged, she believes that retirement may be unlikely for her. When she is not working, she dedicates her time and attention to playing the cello, piano, and guitar and doing yoga.
