He provides an environment for insurance agents to build their individual brokerages, focusing on life insurance, Medicare, long-term care, short-term care, and Medicare Advantage for the senior market. He spends his days working with his management team, helping with relationships, the hiring process, contracting, and solving problems. He supports agents’ growth and helps them develop their brokerages. He worked with MetLife Services and Solutions, LLC, and various banks and bankers before establishing himself as a district manager at Transamerica Agency Network, Inc. from 2015 to 2016.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Hughes pursued an education at Purdue University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government with a minor in economics in 1992. He holds a certification in long-term care. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He volunteered with The Joy Foundation and the Pioneers and donated his time and expertise as an athlete mentor. He contributes to his church and is working with Joyce Health, helping with dementia patients.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Hughes remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Purdue University football team. He attributes his success to his passion for people and the multiple ways that they manifest themselves, in addition to his agents who treat everyone with dignity and respect. He relates easily with the people he works with as well as his clients. He likes to get involved in helping people, exploring their interests and potential, and helping them succeed.
Mr. Hughes’ most notable achievement is having a steady growth of over 30% every single year. He aims to model the business as an educational experience for the agents to learn how to run their own companies. Furthermore, he is proud of the charitable work he does in the community. In the immediate future, he intends to continue mentoring college graduates and helping them develop a strong work ethic.
