Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Stokes pursued an education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1991 and a Juris Doctorate in 1995. He continued his academic efforts at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 1995. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a board member of Brevard College of North Carolina.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Stokes has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized among the Top 25 CFOs. He attributes his success to his work ethic. He also credits his family and the people he met throughout his career who challenged him to take risks and try many things outside his comfort zone.

Mr. Stokes states that for better or worse, he has frequently been unable to resist his entrepreneurial itch. In college, he started three retail businesses with friends. His most notable achievement was leading Castle through the initial public offering process, which got the company the capital it needed to continue its growth. In the immediate future, he aspires to become a chief executive officer. Looking forward, he aspires to take on all of the responsibilities and duties of a chief executive officer.
