Mr. Ruth continued his career at Alcon where he contributed as a U.S. senior brand manager of anti-inflammatories and pharmaceutical marketing from 2012 to 2014, U.S. senior brand manager of surgical LenSx lasers from 2014 to 2015, U.S. product director of cataract surgical equipment and consumables from 2015 to 2016, U.S. marketing director from 2016 to 2017, and U.S. senior marketing director from 2017 to 2020. He garnered a stellar reputation as vice president and head of U.S. sales and marketing at ZEISS Surgical Ophthalmology, part of Carl Zeiss Meditec USA, Inc., from 2020 to 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Ruth pursued an education at the University of California, Riverside where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1998. He concluded his studies at the University of Redlands, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2003. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society and the Alpha Tau Omega Alumni.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Ruth has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was a four-time recipient of the Masters Club Award from Alcon. He considers launching the sales and marketing structure for the new U.S. ZEISS Surgical Ophthalmology organization to be his greatest career accomplishment. ZEISS Surgical Ophthalmology has since grown to be a leader in the United States surgical ophthalmology space. Once Sydnexis becomes commercially successful, he intends to become the chief executive officer of additional medical firms that are looking to move into the commercial stage.
