Under his leadership, the organization has flourished, expanding to three locations and employing over 100 dedicated professionals.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Mavrookas has been honored with numerous awards, including being recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in South Florida for Companies with 35 to 124 Employees in both 2023 and 2024. His commitment to employee engagement earned him a Specialty Award for Exceptional Employee Engagement, highlighting his dedication to fostering a positive work environment.

Mr. Mavrookas is eagerly anticipating the inauguration of Agape Behavioral Healthcare’s third facility. The addition of inpatient care to the array of services offered will solidify his company’s position as one of the premier providers in Florida, offering a comprehensive continuum of care for individuals struggling with both substance abuse and mental health disorders. Looking forward, he aspires to venture into the specialized field of treating eating disorders.

Mr. Mavrookas attributes his success to an unwavering work ethic instilled in him by his immigrant grandparents. Outside of his professional endeavors, he remains actively involved in his community, supporting local charities such as 4KIDS of South Florida, Inc.  In addition, Agape Behavioral Healthcare offers internships to psychology students from Lynn University, enabling them to fulfill their clinical requirements for master’s degrees, underscoring his commitment to the field and aspiring professionals.
