Over the years, he ascended through the ranks, holding key leadership positions in prominent companies such as Swiss Re and Life Re Corporation. Notably, during his tenure at Swiss Re from 1998 to 2016, he served as managing director, overseeing a workforce of approximately 14,000 employees.
Mr. Moore also served as executive vice president and chief underwriter at Life Re Corp from 1988 to 1998, pivotal in its acquisition by Swiss Re. He later led underwriting at FOXO BioScience from 2018 to 2023 in biotechnology. Concurrently, he directed the underwriting strategy at Health IQ from 2017 to 2023, innovating tailored strategies. As president of Underwriting Innovations, LLC since 2016, he has pioneered fitness and epigenetic data integration for risk classifications.
A highlight of his career was his pivotal role in customizing and altering the criteria for selecting preferred risks in underwriting during the HIV epidemic. Recognizing the need for evolution, he advocated for criteria adaptation to reflect changing circumstances, emphasizing this perspective as a keynote speaker for the Association of Home Office Underwriters.
