Kamran Givpoor, vice president of global services at Hughes Network Systems, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in telecommunications.
With 34 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Givpoor has excelled as vice president of global services at Hughes Network Systems since 2010. In his role, he is responsible for deploying the OneWeb LEO Satellite Constellation ground network in 44 locations globally. He provides deep support on operations if there are any issues with their gateway. He also designs and develops the training package for the operators that will be operating their gateways globally.
Mr. Givpoor began his career as principal engineer of E-Systems from 1989 to 1994. He found success as vice president of network operations at Hughes Network Systems from 1994 to 2006. He contributed as president and chief executive officer at Cilutions Inc. from 2006 and 2009 before transitioning to the role of president of Alo Networks from 2009 to 2011.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Givpoor pursued an education at North Carolina University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1984. He concluded his studies at George Washington University, graduating with a Master of Science in project management in 2001. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed as a donor of Christmas gifts to 10 families in need and sponsored children’s education in Iran and throughout Africa.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Givpoor has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as the Most Valuable Player in 2021 and received the Chairman Award of Excellence in 2001. He considers his most notable career achievement to be working with the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization, which monitors and reports on all seismic activities and determines if any nuclear testing is taking place. In the immediate future, he intends to retire from his current position and move on to a part-time position, such as being a board director.
