He began his career with ExxonMobil, serving as an industrial sales engineer from 1999 to 2002, a lubrication engineer from 2002 to 2005, a strategic pricing adviser from 2005 to 2007, and a global sales adviser from 2007 to 2008. At McKinsey & Company, he contributed as an associate from 2008 to 2010, a senior associate from 2010 to 2011, and an engagement manager from 2011 to 2013.

Mr. Hartwig continued his career at Cameron, a Schlumberger Company, now SLB, as director of operations excellence in 2013, director of project management services and operations excellence from 2013 to 2014, director of inside sales from 2014 to 2015, director of central services and drilling operations from 2015 to 2017, general manager of sales and operations in the Middle East from 2017 to 2019, vice president of sales in 2020, member of the corporate strategy team from 2019 to 2020, business line director from 2020 to 2022, and vice president of North America SLB New Energy from 2022 to 2023.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Hartwig pursued an education at Louisiana State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering in 1999. He concluded his studies at Michigan State University Eli Broad College of Business, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2004. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He held the role of board member at Pure Energy Minerals.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Hartwig remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He held the role of chairperson of the energy transition committee at the Chamber of Commerce of the Greater Houston Partnership. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was awarded a grant for geothermal AI measurement from the United States Department of Energy.

Mr. Hartwig attributes his success to his clear creative vision and ability to execute it. He quickly evaluates corporate options and can determine the most ideal direction to pursue. He then develops a plan with specific steps and identifies the resources needed. These attributes allow him to efficiently turn his ideas into action.

Mr. Hartwig is currently steering his company toward going public, a process which typically takes approximately seven years. He has yet to set a strict timeline, instead prioritizing longevity beyond his own personal leadership. His focus is ensuring sustainability and fulfilling the mission of benefiting humanity, which is a daily commitment for the team. In the immediate future, he intends to activate his vision of transforming energy, affordability, and accessibility. He also aims to continue to decarbonize the energy sector as much as possible while leveraging the advancements in technology that have accrued in the past decade, believing these developments have the potential to create trillion-dollar industries in the next decade
