Subsequently, he contributed to the same as MSU Greenline coordinator from 2009 to 2012, assistant director of the University Advancement Annual Fund for telemarketing and student philanthropy from 2012 to 2014, and assistant director of the University Advancement Annual Fund for direct mail and student philanthropy from 2013 to 2014. He worked as advertising team lead at Great Lakes Recycling in 2008.
Mr. Tramble continued his career at Georgetown University as associate director of engagement and annual giving from 2014 to 2015, associate director of direct marketing and operations for the university’s annual fund from 2014 to 2017, director of communications, strategy, and operations from 2017 to 2019, and senior director of strategic communications and operations from 2019 to 2020. He has served as an adjunct faculty instructor at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies since 2020. He garnered a stellar reputation as vice president and chief communications officer at Howard University from 2020 to 2023.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Tramble pursued an education at Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in advertising management. He concluded his studies at Georgetown University, graduating with a Master of Professional Studies in integrated marketing communications in 2018. He holds a certificate in executive business leadership from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Tramble has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributed to DC Run Crew. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals from 2009 to 2014 and held the role of trustee with the Institute for Public Relations.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Tramble has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized among the Hoya Professional 30 by the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in 2017, a “Spartan Star” by MSUAA Magazine in 2014, a Golden Key International Honor Society honorary staff member in 2013, and manager of the year by the MSU Annual Fund in 2009. He was presented with an Outstanding Alumni Award by Michigan State University in 2024, a Bronze Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of America in 2021, and a Hoya Saxa Recognition Award by Georgetown University in 2015. He was a nominee for the MSU Annual Fund’s Michigan State University Student Employee of the Year in 2009.
Mr. Tramble considers managing the partnership between Howard University and the Jordan brand and overseeing its rollout in 2022 among his most notable career highlights. He is also proud of being the first black person to hold the top communication position at Duke University and the second black male to have such a position at an elite school. In the immediate future, he intends to develop a communication and marketing model that can fundamentally transform how higher education institutions address their most critical issues. His goal is to establish a philanthropic group that aids underprivileged youth in urban areas.
