Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic upon assuming the position, he adeptly steered the company from its inception to a thriving workforce of over 2,000 employees in just over three years.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Tangirala lent his expertise to a diverse array of organizations. From 2017 to 2019, he served as a senior program management officer at the World Bank Group, where his work spanned across more than 180 countries, involving extensive international travel. Earlier in his career, he held pivotal roles, such as head of strategic initiatives at Airlines Reporting Corporation from 2009 to 2017 and vice president of international operations at SENSORGRID from 2007 to 2009. Notably, his professional journey commenced with roles including technology program manager at the United States Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory from 2001 to 2007 and senior consultant at E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley from 2000 to 2001.
Mr. Tangirala’s innovative prowess is underscored by his co-inventions of groundbreaking technologies such as TurboMill and SolarMill, which integrate wind and solar energy, as well as the SensorNet technology developed for Oak Ridge National Laboratory, earning him several prestigious awards. Furthermore, his patent for a modular alternative energy unit exemplifies his commitment to advancing green technology and sustainability.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Tangirala is actively engaged in various industry-related organizations, holding positions such as membership in The Global Capability Centers Council of the National Association of Software Service Companies for Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, India, and advisory council membership for the Ministry of Information Technology, Industries & Commerce of the Government of Telangana. He also serves on the board of advisors for the Indian School of Business and co-founded the Banking Financial Services Insurance Consortium while contributing to steering committees in numerous educational institutions.
Mr. Tangirala’s academic journey includes completing an executive management program in business process and IT management from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, coupled with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology, significantly shaping his professional trajectory.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Mr. Tangirala is deeply committed to philanthropy and community service, supporting organizations such as the Foundation of American Blood Centers, Give Life Foundation, Grace Cancer Foundation, Child’s Foundation, and medical camps through Mutual Life Insurance Company.
