Concurrently, he holds the position of chief operations officer and vice president at The K.I.N.G. Movement, contributing to initiatives aimed at community empowerment. Prior to this position, he was the managing attorney of matrimonial and family law at The Law Offices of Spar & Bernstein, P.C. from 2014 to 2017, where he advocated for families navigating legal complexities. Previously, he served as an attorney at The Law Office of Janine Campanaro, Esq. from 2012 to 2014, honing his legal expertise. He also held the role of counsel at Barnum & Reyes P.C. from 2011 to 2012, contributing to legal strategies and client representation.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Carey pursued an education, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Seton Hall University and a Master of Science in organizational leadership from Alliance University, previously Nyack College, in 2014. Following these accomplishments, he completed his certification as an ordained deacon, aligning his professional journey with his spiritual calling. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in various civic endeavors, including serving on the boards of the Health Care Foundation of the Oranges and the Lillian and Lillian Foundation. He attributes his success to his unwavering faith in God, which guides his actions and inspires his commitment to service.

Looking ahead, Mr. Carey envisions expanding the reach of the Family Healing Center, aiming to establish multiple centers nationwide, with a focus on mental health awareness and community support. He is passionate about promoting mental health awareness among African American communities, particularly men, and is committed to becoming a mental health advocate and inspiring others to seek help. He hopes his story serves as a testament that it is perfectly acceptable to seek assistance. His motto is, “The family that prays together stays together.” He also stands by the quote “It’s easier to build a strong child than to repair a broken man,” by Frederick Douglas.
