Michael T.R. Martin, MBA, MAcc, Partner at Nationwide CFO LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in accounting and financial services.
With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Martin currently excels as a partner with Nationwide CFO LLC, an independent tax firm that offers a comprehensive suite of quality services focusing on corporate tax strategies and financial services, including tax compliance and planning, accounting, and consulting. In this position, he provides attestation and the aforementioned tax services while additionally preparing individual income tax returns, recording financial transactions for clients, keeping books, showcasing critical inquiries and analyses, communicating with colleagues, supervisors, and partners, and reviewing tax returns and statements from staff and independent third parties for clients. Mr. Martin has worked as a tax specialist and accountant for CPA firms and corporations since 2003, during which time he has applied his expertise to financial statements and corporate tax returns for multi-million dollar companies.
To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Martin pursued an education at Trinity International University, from which he earned a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in accounting in 2006. He continued his academic efforts at the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University, obtaining a Master of Science in accounting in 2016 and a graduate certificate in business intelligence and analytics management in 2018. He concluded his studies at DeVry University in 2023, graduating from the Keller Graduate School of Management with a Master of Business Administration. In addition to these accomplishments, Mr. Martin has been accredited as a tax preparer and tax advisor, completed a two-year financial executive training course with Nationwide CFO LLC, and further refined his expertise in business administration with doctoral-level studies specialized in leadership at Walden University.
Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Mr. Martin has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. Notably, he has found success as the founder of The Westminster Foundation for Theological Education and Research, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing Christian ministry and religious education services to his local community. Moreover, he has been active as an a mentor with Delta Mu Delta International Academic Honor Society in Business, an internship trainee with General Revelation Institute LLC, a contributor for outreach that helps local homeless communities at the Los Angeles Dream Center, and accounting tutor for Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. Mr. Martin has likewise been affiliated with the Arizona Society of CPAs.
Mr. Martin has attributed his success to the unwavering support and encouragement that he has received from his family, friends, educators, supervisor, and mentors. He is also incredibly grateful for the recommendations of his college advisor, who identified his potential as a result of his excellent grades in algebra.
