Likewise, he has excelled as the co-founder for Big Yellow Coffee since 2022 and an advisor for Compassio Medical Education since 2022. Prior to these posts, he worked as a leadership instructor for the U.S. Naval Academy from 2018 to 2020 and a Department of Defense SkillBridge fellow with Squadra Ventures in 2020. He began his career with the U.S. Navy in 2008, serving in the Naval Special Warfare Command with Navy Sea, Air, and Land (SEAL) and Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC) Teams as a naval special warfare officer until his retirement from the military in 2020. As a result of his exceptional efforts in the U.S. Navy, Mr. Blair was presented with multiple awards and medals.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Blair pursued an education at Franciscan University of Steubenville, from which he initially earned a Bachelor of Arts in theology and theological studies. He continued his academic efforts by attending Officer Candidate School, which prepared him for his extensive tenure in the U.S. Navy. To better support his ambitions, he concluded his formal studies at The Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, graduating with a Master of Business Administration. However, Mr. Blair continued to refine his skill set by completing training courses such as “Building, Leading and Sustaining the Innovative Organization” through MIT Sloan Executive Education in 2016 and “Leadership Coaching” through Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies in 2018.
Beyond his primary responsibilities within the field, Mr. Blair has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. Since 2019, he has contributed to the Aquinas Forum as a leadership and ethics fellow. Moreover, he dedicated his time and resources as a volunteer for The Mother House of the Missionaries of Charity in 2006. Recruited to the advisory board for his children’s school, Mr. Blair has further supported his community as a donor with Hogs for the Cause.
Mr. Blair has attributed his success to the unwavering support of his family, including his loving and encouraging wife, and his team at Valletta Industries. Having traveled around the world during his service in the U.S. Navy, including Africa, South America and The Middle East, he established his respective businesses as an opportunity to work with his former military colleagues once more in a noble manner, which he cites as a professional highlight. Furthermore, he is incredibly proud of his efforts as a devoted husband and father, as being present for his loved ones inspired his decision to depart from active duty early and prioritize his family in all of his decisions. Emphasizing the importance of hard work and resiliency, he is also grateful to have built a successful company alongside his trustworthy friends, especially as the business has grown and evolved in the commercial sector. In the coming years, Mr. Blair hopes to witness Valletta Industries become a financially and culturally significant company within the industry of government contracting that fosters an environment in which their employees can thrive.
