Carving out a distinguished career, Mr. Wisse has excelled in the field of financial operations. Currently serving as the financial operations leader at Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) since 2015, he manages filings, collaborates closely with attorneys, handles various finance-related tasks, and is heavily involved in overseeing PSEG’s systems. Throughout his tenure with PSEG, he has held various positions, including business planning manager for corporate planning and analysis from 2012 to 2015, manager of valuation and planning from 2009 to 2012, and business planning manager for corporate planning from 2001 to 2009. His earlier career includes significant roles at AT&T Intellectual Property, where he worked for 10 years, and KPMG International, where he worked for three years.
One of the highlights of Mr. Wisse’s career is successfully implementing the budgeting system at PSEG. As the lead representative of the sponsor organization, he overcame numerous challenges to ensure the system’s successful launch in 2013, and it remains in use today. Additionally, he takes pride in his work on the Telstar project at AT&T, a groundbreaking initiative to launch satellites for commercial use in partnership with NASA. He was responsible for managing all accounting and finance aspects, ensuring the project met regulatory requirements. Before embarking on his professional path, he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from William Paterson University. He continued his studies at the Florham Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, obtaining a Master of Business Administration in corporate finance. In addition to these academic achievements, he obtained certifications as a certified public accountant, certified management accountant, and project management professional.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Wisse has maintained his involvement with the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), where he served as chapter president for the Bergen County chapter, as well as the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. He has also accrued several accolades throughout his career, including awards for his volunteer service from the IMA and achieving a fifth-degree black belt in martial arts. In the coming years, he aims to obtain approval to install the latest version of Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) in data processing. He looks forward to participating in the SAP implementation project, refining specific processes that require streamlining and securing the necessary funding. His advice to those aspiring to work in his industry is to thoroughly understand industry regulations and remain aware of the environment in which they operate.
