A seasoned executive renowned for his dynamic leadership and profound expertise in driving digital transformation, Mr. Sharma has excelled with Zensar Technologies as the senior vice president of advanced engineering and data analytics since 2021, an excom member since 2023, and the global head of platforms and growth since 2023. He began his career as a sales manager for Fujitsu ICIM from 1996 to 1998 before accepting a position as an area manager with Tata Elxsi Limited from 1999 to 2000. He was subsequently active as a regional manager for Perot Systems from 2002 to 2006, the regional director of Tech Mahindra from 2006 to 2010, the general manager of the services group for Alcatel-Lucent from 2010 to 2011, and a client executive and head of large deals for Tech Mahindra from 2011 to 2014. Prior to his tenure with Zensar Technologies, Mr. Sharma served as the cloud and infra head for BFS vertical with Cognizant from 2014 to 2017, the vice president of Cognizant from 2017 to 2018, and a partner and managing director for Deloitte Consulting from 2018 to 2019 and Accenture from 2019 to 2020.
Born and raised in India, Mr. Sharma initially pursued an education at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in electronic engineering in 1992. Many years later, he concluded his studies with a postgraduate certificate of management studies in e-business from the University of Melbourne in 2006. Beyond his primary endeavors, he has worked as an adjunct professor of machine learning and artificial intelligence and a guest lecturer at The College of New Jersey since 2019 and has mentored people in need through the Give Something Back Foundation since 2016. Moreover, Dr. Sharma has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including a Service Award for Best Large Deal from Tech Mahindra in 2008, an Excellence Award from Tech Mahindra in 2013, the IT Operational Transformation Award from Western Union in 2016, and a Best Cloud Transformation Award from American Express in 2017, among others.
Mr. Sharma attributes his success to the support of his colleagues, adherence to the principles of Ikigai, and his proactive approach to personal and professional development, including his ability to identify and leverage his strengths. Among his many accomplishments, he is incredibly proud of playing a pivotal role in establishing organizations in the U.S., Canada, and Asia, as well as spearheading the development of the largest private cloud in North America during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act for Aetna. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sharma hopes to advance into a greater administrative capacity where he can leverage his experience and expertise to create employment opportunities for others and drive innovation on a global scale.
