Marc Stranz, partner and co-founder at Stranz Crossley Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in clinical operations and regulatory affairs.

With over three decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Stranz has carved out a distinguished career in the field of clinical operations and regulatory affairs. Currently excelling as a partner and co-founder at Stranz Crossley Inc. since 2018, he provides strategic direction and oversight to the company’s operations and development. Prior to this position, he was the chief clinical officer at BioMatrix SpRx from 2018 to 2022, where he oversaw clinical services and ensured regulatory compliance. Previously, he served as a consultant at Marcstranz Inc. from 2015 to 2020, offering consultancy services in clinical and regulatory affairs, and as the vice president of clinical and compliance at Elwyn Pharmacy Group, which was acquired by BioMatrix SpRx, from 2016 to 2017.

Mr. Stranz’s career includes significant roles such as vice president of regulatory affairs and clinical education at BioScrip from 2014 to 2015, vice president of clinical operations for infusion services at BioScrip from 2011 to 2014, and vice president of field clinical services at BioScrip from 2010 to 2011. He also served as the vice president of east zone operations at Critical Homecare Solutions from 2008 to 2010 and held various senior vice president positions at Coram Specialty Infusion from 2002 to 2007. 

Mr. Stranz began his career as the national director of infusion services at Omnicare and regional director of infusion services at Chesapeake, NeighborCare from 1996 to 2002, and as the regional pharmacy manager and operations manager at NMC Homecare, Home Nutritional Services from 1992 to 2002. Additionally, he served as a specialist in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Stranz pursued an education at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in pharmacy with honors in 1983. He continued his academic efforts at the same institution, obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy. Additionally, he holds a certification as a pharmacy regulatory specialist.

In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Stranz remains actively affiliated with various professional organizations. He has maintained his involvement with the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists, the Association for Vascular Access, the Immunoglobulin National Society, the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology, the Intravenous Nursing Society, the National Home Infusion Association, and the National Quality Forum. Notably, he served on the Compounded Sterile Preparations expert panel for the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention from 2013 to 2014 and on the steering committee for home health performance measures for the National Quality Forum in 2008.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Stranz has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized as the opening speaker at the World Congress and was presented with the Distinguished Service Award by the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists.

Dr. Stranz is a multigenerational pharmacist on both his mother’s and father’s sides. He attributes his success to an incessant need to know and do, constantly reading and staying informed. He is proud of taking health care out of the hospital and putting it into the community, always maintaining that one does not need to be in the hospital for effective care. 

Dr. Stranz emphasizes the importance of focusing on patient care. He believes that supporting individuals with a strong sense of purpose motivates them to put in the extra effort, work longer hours, and travel when necessary to ensure high-quality health care nationwide. Recently, he completed a significant project serving a large group in Michigan and Wisconsin. He found the experience particularly rewarding because it allowed him to observe and learn from the dedicated professionals he was assisting.
