Narayana Chivukula

Title: Project Executive
Company: IBM
Location: Frisco, Texas, United States

Narayana Chivukula, Project Executive at IBM has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in technology solutions.

With years of experience to his credit, Mr. Chivukula has excelled as a project executive with IBM since 2010. In this position, he is responsible for the end-to-end view of the mobile custom application development program, including the management of program contracts with major clients, and the handling of sales. He has previously worked for a number of years as an associate partner with Pepsi and IBM. Prior to these posts, Mr. Chivukula served as an account manager with Pepsi, advancing from a one-person team to a team of 150 employees.

Mr. Chivukula was also formerly active as a sales representative for Walmart, a tenure which he cites among the highlights of his career. Collaborating alongside executives within the multinational retail corporation, he was essential to the development of their drone technology, the result of which included five patents in his name between 2014 to 2016. In the years that followed, Mr. Chivukula has witnessed the concept for the drone delivery mechanism become reality, and he takes great pride in knowing he contributed significantly to the design of the infrastructure and technology that led to that achievement.

Mr. Chivukula initially garnered exceptional experience through roles in technical line development and e-commerce over the course of five years. Shifting his attention toward program management, he spearheaded a number of initiatives within IBM and was an instrumental figure in establishing their first factory in developed countries. Furthermore, he gained valuable expertise in human resources and finance in this capacity, but found himself uninspired by his work in operations, which ultimately inspired him to change the trajectory of his career. Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Chivukula has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles, including his civic engagement with the American Red Cross.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Chivukula pursued an education at the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore, India, from which he graduated with a Master of Business Administration. He further expanded upon his skill set with a project executive certification from IBM, a project management professional certification from the Project Management Institute, a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification, and certifications from The CSA Group and Krambaland. In 2022, Mr. Chivukula received his certification in artificial intelligence and cloud computing from the University of Texas at Austin McCombs School of Business.

As a testament to his impressive undertakings, Mr. Chivukula has accrued several accolades throughout his career.  In 2023, he was presented with the Golden Globe Award from IBM. Moreover, he personally aided in the design, delivery, and management of a project for Pepsi that subsequently received the CIO 100 Award. Mr. Chivukula has credited his success to his steadfast curiosity about impending technological advancements, especially those in relation to artificial intelligence, as well as his ability to emphasize the importance of forward thinking and anticipating the future.

In the coming years, Mr. Chivukula hopes to make a dramatic and broader impact in an executive administrative position in his field that would allow him to address more than a single project at a time. In addition to this goal, he aims to become a partner at IBM through his development of a cutting-edge retail solution utilizing ePaper that will allow stores to remotely update price tags with the latest information from their point-of-sale system and online inventory. In doing so, Mr. Chivukula can usher in the universally-applicable process on a global level, regardless of language and currency barriers, while catering to the diverse and comprehensive needs of the retail industry.
