With a decade of experience to his credit, Mr. Quintana has carved out a distinguished career in the field of accounting and finance. He currently excels as a principal at CLA, a role he has held since 2023. In this capacity, he is responsible for team building, managing projects, networking, and building connections.
In this role, Mr. Quintana has primarily worked in the health care and life sciences industry, focusing on senior living spaces such as independent living, assisted living, home health, and hospices. CLA is a professional services firm that offers accounting, tax returns, outsourcing, and wealth advisory services. He has also been exploring outsourcing by assisting small and large businesses with their monthly bookkeeping and reconciling their monthly activities.
Prior to this position, he served as a manager at CLA from 2019 to 2023 and as a senior associate from 2017 to 2019. His extensive career also includes roles as an experienced audit associate at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP from 2015 to 2017, an assistant manager and certified trainer at Darden from 2007 to 2016, and a tax associate at Gilman & Ciocia Inc. from 2014 to 2015. He began his career with a tax internship at Gilman & Ciocia Inc. from 2013 to 2014.
Laying a solid foundation for his future success, Mr. Quintana pursued an education at Nassau Community College, where he earned an Associate of Science in 2007. He continued his academic efforts at the State University of New York at Old Westbury, earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 2010 and a Master of Science in accounting in 2015. Following these accomplishments, he completed certifications as a certified public accountant (CPA) with the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy and the New York State Board of Accountancy. Additionally, he became a certified fraud examiner through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
In addition to his primary vocation, Mr. Quintana has maintained his involvement with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. He also serves on the board of directors for Stone Rehabilitation & Senior Living since 2024, and he is actively involved in pro bono services through the Association of Latino Professionals For America. Additionally, he teaches an accounting course to help entrepreneurs. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was recognized as a participant in the Leadership Academy by LeadingAge Massachusetts in 2020. Additionally, he made the Dean’s List and was inducted into the National Honor Society during his academic journey.
As a child, Mr. Quintana dreamed of becoming a professional and making his parents proud. However, he lost his father at a young age. His father’s advice to be the best at what he did and to remember those who helped him along the way has always guided him. He is passionate about helping other Latinos who have faced similar struggles.
Looking ahead, Mr. Quintana envisions a future where he continues to lead and mentor, ensuring that the next generation of professionals has the support and guidance they need to succeed.
