With over two decades of C-level experience, Mr. Stameson excels in the fields of engineering and manufacturing. He is currently the president and chief executive officer of Plasma Ruggedized Solutions (PRS), a role he has held since 2008. PRS is a leading provider of advanced protective coatings and encapsulants, including parylene coating, conformal coating, potting, and encapsulation services. PRS specializes in safeguarding and enhancing the performance of vital components and devices across various industries. His responsibilities include working with operations and marketing on proposals and customer meetings, supporting marketing and sales, working in operations, creating metrics, and setting goals for the team.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Stameson was the principal and chief executive officer at Aegis Precision Technologies from 2002 to 2008, president of QualPro Corporation-EOS Capital from 1999 to 2001, senior vice president and general manager at Aurora Electronics, (private equity firm Welsh Carson and EOS Capital) from 1997 to 1999, and director operations, Eaton, Vickers Sterer Division from 1994 to 1997. His earlier roles include director of business operations at Parker Aerospace, CSD, and Metal Bellows from 1987 to 1994, and program manager of contracts and operations at Hughes Aircraft Company from 1982 to 1987.
Prior to these accomplishments, Mr. Stameson was a scholar athlete in baseball while pursuing a degree at the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, earning a Bachelor of Arts in finance and international business in 1981, followed by a Master of Business Administration in finance and strategic planning from Pepperdine University in 1985. He also completed advanced coursework in mechanical engineering and orbital mechanics from the California Institute of Technology. He earned a certification in program management from the American Graduate University in 1992, and is GE Lean Six Sigma certified.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Stameson contributes to and supports the New Missions Program in Haiti, conducted mission work in Mexico with Mariners Church from 1999 to 2010, and worked with the Save the Tiger Program for the World Wildlife Federation for 30 years. He is a member of the Museum of Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. His professional memberships include the California Purchasing Managers Survey Panel, The A. Gary Anderson Center for Economic Research, and Chapman University. Additionally, he serves as a panel member for the Atlanta Fed’s Business Uncertainty Panel, a board member on the Engineering Leadership Advisory Board, a member of the Chico State University Engineering Leadership Executive Education Program, and has been a board member of the Association for Corporate Growth in Silicon Valley since 2008.
Reflecting on his achievements, Mr. Stameson takes pride in his patent for Kryptos-17 in 2015. Kryptos-17 is an advanced epoxy compound designed for use in challenging space environments. The name “Kryptos-17” comes from the fact that it took the inventors 17 attempts to perfect its formula. In light of his undertakings in the field, he has been honored as a Distinguished Alumni by the University of Washington in 2012, included on the list of Top 40 Executives by Vickers Corporation in 1997, a co-winner of the National Medal of Technology in 1991, and Employee of the Year for the Support Systems Division at Hughes Aircraft in 1984. He attributes his success to the support of his family, which he considers his most “significant treasure.”
In the coming years, Mr. Stameson is dedicated to expanding and developing his company and entering new markets. His focus is on the development and support of his team, recognizing their hard work and motivating them as they build a world-class organization together. He aims to enhance tools, equipment, and the work environment to increase safety and make coming to work both fun and desirable. He also believes in practicing active humility, emphasizing actions over words.
