The culmination of nearly 15 years in sales and support, Mr. Lopes Pereira currently serves as a regional sales manager for Ansys. Since starting at the company as a senior product sales manager in 2022, he has helped develop its business in North and South America, collaborating with customers, corporate partners and the product development team to push the technology forward. Before joining Ansys, Mr. Lopes Pereira established himself in the field through a lengthy tenure at Halliburton, beginning in 2012. During this time, he held such positions as field engineer, research and development (R&D) engineer, R&D team lead and global technology manager. Mr. Lopes Pereira played a major part in the creation of Halliburton’s BaraLogix, an essential engineering tool for optimizing drilling processes.
Prior to pursuing his primary vocation, Mr. Lopes Pereira built a strong academic foundation. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2010, followed by a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the same institution. Additionally, Mr. Lopes Pereira has completed many certifications, including drilling and completion fluids engineering, advanced geomechanics training, and agile delivery framework. His work has been honored with many accolades, including the Halliburton Manager Appreciation Applause Award for Technology Innovation and the Petrobras Compliment Award for Distinctive Quality Service.
Beyond his professional life, Mr. Lopes Pereira is a devoted husband and father to two children. He enjoys playing piano, singing and giving back to his community as a local soccer coach. In the years ahead, he plans to continue propagating new technology that can help people be more efficient while reducing harm to the planet.
