He currently excels as the owner and managing director of Broadhollow Realty LLC, a role he has held for 20 years. In this capacity, he resolves construction issues, designs real estate developments in North and South Carolina, encompassing residential and retail projects, and engages in international real estate development endeavors. Additionally, he is the founder of Rubie’s Costume Co. Inc. in Richmond Hill, New York, which he established in 1984. Previously, he was a high school math teacher for three months and worked with various companies, including Genesis Commercial LLC. Laying a foundation for his future accomplishments, he pursued an education at Queens College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in math education in 1972. He went on to complete real estate coursework and earn his real estate license from St. John’s University. 

Mr. Beige is associated with various organizations related to his expertise, including serving as chairman of the Halloween Industry Association from 2014 to 2019 and being a member of the Long Island Real Estate Group, the National Costumes Association, and the Toy Manufacturers Association. Additionally, he contributes to the Gurwin Healthcare Foundation and is a member of the Melville Chamber of Commerce and the Melville & Huntington Chabad Jewish Community Center. He is also a donor to the American Cancer Society Inc. and a supporter of the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Beige was recognized by the City Council of Queens for his contributions to real estate development in the city. He was also honored with the Humanitarian Award at The Monsignor Hartman Humanitarian Luncheon & Trade Show in 2018. He was an inductee of the Hall of Fame by Long Island Business News in 2017 and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by EY in 1999. He takes great pride in his achievements within the real estate sector and holds a deep sense of accomplishment in co-founding Rubie’s Costume Co. alongside his siblings. He says what began as a modest local retail store evolved into the world’s largest manufacturer of Halloween costumes. To this day, he and his siblings retain a small ownership stake in the company. 

Mr. Beige attributes his success to a solid marriage and a healthy family life. He believes his achievements are propelled by his innate curiosity and appreciation for life’s subtler aspects. Looking to the future, he is eager to mentor the next generation of real estate agents, aiming for someone to assume leadership of his firm. His advice to aspiring professionals is to recognize and embrace good luck, as opportunities and luck go hand in hand. He emphasizes embracing change and being willing to learn new things, as every day is a new adventure.
